January 8th

Today, I made Honeybaked Chicken with brown rice and collard greens, Hazelnut Blondies for dessert, and then Brown rice and Tuna. (eek) I wanted to make bowtie pasta with mushroom cream sauce, but the store did not have any exotic mushrooms, like enoki, shiitake, porcini or whatever. Just white and button. (boo)

For the Chicken, I used garam masala instead of curry and I ran out of honey from the baklava and used a mix of honey and maple syrup!!! LOL (risky!)

Since I am going to Nikki's for dinner tonight, I am not trying the chicken until tomorrow. Will report back on the recipe later.

Taking the Hazelnut Blondies to her house (mom's in town) . These blondies are killer!!! The toasting hazelnuts are so fragrant!!! yummy. And gianduja is the reason I was born!!! OMFG!!! I love it. I want to invent recipes to use this stuff. If it fell on my shoe, I would eat a hole through my shoe!!! jk ETA - these blondies are awesome, IMO, because you stir after adding the dry to wet ingredients. That way there's no overdeveloping the gluten, or whatever, and they are sooooo tender and delicate. Extremely buttery and chocolate-y. I had to leave 'em at Nikkis!

The brown rice and tuna is because I ran into someone that inspired me today. I want to like clothes shopping again!!! Brown rice and tuna, with Salsa was not as vile as I expected. That's what Eva Mendes eats. When I googled "brown rice and tuna" a bunch of musclehead sites popped up. So, that's my lunch tomorrow.
